On April 3, 2026 at CaféMusic in Mont-de-Marsan, Les Sheriff reignited the fuse with direct, fast, melodic punk rock. Formed in Montpellier in 1984, they shaped a sound at the crossroads of ’77 punk and rock’n’roll, threaded with a power-pop vein that favors simple choruses and tight guitars. On stage, their concise songwriting delivers: urgency, dry wit, and short tracks that follow one another with no excess. From “Joue pas de rock'n'roll” to “Soleil de plomb”, “Grand bombardement tardif”, “Les 2 doigts dans la prise” or “Pan!”, the band draws from a repertoire forged in the late 1980s and ’90s, with a direct, stage-ready approach.
Alongside them, Not Scientists offer melodic punk rock sung in English, forged in Lyon by former members of Uncommonmenfrommars and No Guts No Glory. Their set blends ’90s energy, often bright guitars and tenacious melodies, with indie-rock and power-pop detours, sometimes tinged with post-punk. From early numbers like “Staring at the Sun” to “Destroy To Rebuild”, then “Golden Staples” and “The Results Are In”, the quartet sharpens its arrangements and stage dynamics, combining punch, a knack for hooks and driving rhythms.
