Hiba Tawaji invites Ibrahim Maalouf to the Théâtre de Champagne in Troyes on 14 March 2027. A singer and actress trained at the Beirut National Conservatory of Music and Saint-Joseph University, she first came to attention as part of Oussama Rahbani’s ensemble with concerts and Arabic musical comedies. She moves between Levantine pop, orchestrations close to the classical tradition, touches of jazz and songs in French. After appearing on The Voice in France and then taking the role of Esmeralda in Notre‑Dame de Paris, she alternates Arabic repertoire with Francophone pieces, her soprano voice equally at home on ballads, reworked covers and original compositions.
Ibrahim Maalouf, a Franco‑Lebanese trumpeter trained by his father Nassim and who also studied in Maurice André’s class, has since the early 2000s built a career where jazz, chanson, music for film and orchestral projects intersect. He appears both on record and in stage collaborations and collective creations, maintaining an active touring schedule. In Troyes he joins Hiba Tawaji for a voice‑and‑brass dialogue conceived as an exchange, marking his characteristic way of opening up repertoires and circulating influences between Arab and French stages.
