On May 15, 2026 at New Morning, Paris, Aaron Parks presents his project Little Big. A pianist born in Seattle and based in New York, who came to notice alongside figures such as Terence Blanchard, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Joshua Redman, he has developed a melodic writing that favors atmospheres and collective listening. With Little Big, he channels this sense of motif into electric music: a modern jazz shaped by a rock pulse, echoes of indie pop and ambient touches, and a genuine taste for instrumental songwriting. On stage, the group advances through clear forms and patient grooves, privileging interaction over display. The repertoire draws on the Little Big trilogy (2018, 2020, 2022) and maps a trajectory where crisp themes, half-light ballads and rising intensities cross paths. A moving portrait of a pianist at the crossroads of New York jazz and cross-genre aesthetics.
