Cro-Mags

On 8 June 2026, Cro-Mags land at Beta2300 in Copenhagen. Formed in early-80s New York around Harley Flanagan, the band came up through CBGB and the Lower East Side, forging a sound at the crossroads of hardcore punk and thrash metal: heavy, driving rhythms, abrupt accelerations and compact songs that hit straight on. Age of Quarrel (1986) set the tone; Best Wishes (1989) pushed the metallic edge; Alpha Omega (1992) and Near Death Experience (1993) thickened the mix without losing the hardcore backbone. After Revenge (2000), they returned with In the Beginning (2020), underlining their role in the rise of crossover and the evolution of US hardcore.

On stage, Cro-Mags play it lean and direct, folding decades of material into a set that moves fast and stays tense, from early NYHC staples to later, more metallic cuts. Lineup shifts over the years haven’t changed the core approach: short, urgent tracks, sharp breaks, and a New York street grit that still anchors the band’s live energy.
