Girls in Hawaïfi

Girls in Hawaïi returns to the stage at La Rayonne in Villeurbanne on 28 November 2026, buoyed by Eldorado, their new studio album released on 25 September. The Belgian band sharpens its indie-rock and melodic-pop DNA here, between chiming guitars, understated keyboards and supple rhythms. Centered on the vocals and guitars of Antoine Wielemans and Lionel Vancauwenberghe, the lineup unfolds atmospheres more organic than on its recent projects, while retaining the faint veil of melancholy that has accompanied them since their beginnings.

From "From Here to There" (2003) to "Nocturne" (2017), via "Plan Your Escape" (2008) and "Everest" (2013), Girls in Hawaïi has forged a recognizable sound, able to slip into more atmospheric or electronic textures without losing its bearings. The stripped-down detour of "Hello Strange" (2018) and the 20th-anniversary tour in 2023 reaffirmed the band's attachment to its foundational songs. For this date, one can expect a dialogue between Eldorado's new tracks and a selection of older pieces, played with purposeful restraint and a group dynamic that favors gentle tension over showmanship.
