Info
On July 2, 2026, Allah-Las are at the Makeda in Marseille. Formed in Los Angeles in the late 2000s, the quartet of Miles Michaud, Pedrum Siadatian, Spencer Dunham and Matthew Correia draws a clear line between garage rock, surf and psychedelic folk-rock. Reverb-drenched guitars, spare rhythms, harmonized vocals: their sound favors vintage textures without being a slavish copy. Since their self-titled album produced by Nick Waterhouse in 2012, followed by Worship the Sun (2014) and Calico Review (2016), the band has honed a concise songwriting style that is at once sunlit and shadowed. With LAHS in 2019 and Zuma 85 in 2023, Allah-Las have moved toward a broader psych-pop, with occasional instrumental detours and more adventurous studio work, while retaining the grain that defines their identity.
On stage, this repertoire takes the form of a continuous flow, like a living mixtape — a nod to their Reverberation Radio project and their crate-digger instincts. Between undulating instrumentals and songs carried by muted harmonies, the setlist alternates clear lines and fuzzed turns without overdoing it. A Marseille stop that brings California down to club level, here and now.
