Dam Swindle DJ set with Rafa Santos, Friday, 27 March 2026 at 22:59 in Sala Villanos. It was in 2011 when the Dutch duo formed by Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets burst onto the electronic music scene. Since then, they have become known for a broad, cinematic approach to creating and spinning club-focused grooves. From deep to disco, from tech to soul, Dam Swindle connects past and present with a distinct narrative, both in their studio productions and behind DJ booths around the world.

To this day, tracks that marked their breakthrough — such as “The Wrap Around” and “The Break Up” — still sound on dancefloors worldwide. These are joined by more recent and timeless productions like their 2023 disco-house cut “That's Right” and the ’90s-tinged tribute “Allright (Just a Tribute),” which featured across the festival season of 2024.

Dam Swindle has built a recognizable, individual sound while continuing to evolve and refine their approach across different musical niches. Their landmark 2018 album, High Life, showcased the duo’s musical breadth — a versatility that is further expanded on their 2025 album, Open.

Open includes collaborations such as Dutch pianist Joep Beving and Ethiopian vocalist based in New York Haile Supreme, and finds Dam Swindle exploring territories ranging from ambient electronica to synthwave, hip-house and beyond.
