On March 19, 2026, xicu presents his new album, LISTEN, at Sala Upload in Barcelona. The solo project of Cesc Valverde (Ginestà, Ambauka), xicu explores a crossroads between singer-songwriter material and melodic pop with folk touches and electronic layers. From the EP Sol to Sacrificis (2024), where he expanded his range of collaborations with Triquell, Socunbohemio, Ven’nus and Maria Hein, the path has led him to denser production and to a sound that pushes the limits without losing focus on the voice and the lyrics. LISTEN continues this trajectory and places the body at the center of the listening experience.

On stage, xicu performs as a quartet: Cesc Valverde on vocals and acoustic guitar, Andrea Puig on guitar, Gerard Sala on keyboards and Eloi Canyelles on backing vocals and samplers. The live set plays with dynamics and silences, foreground vocal harmonies and arrangements of guitars and synthesizers that push the songs toward rawer textures. The sound is stretched to its limit and demands attentive listening; if you are sensitive to volume, it’s best to bring hearing protection. Shhh... listen.
