On October 3, 2026, at La Carène in Brest, Keziah Jones brings back his taut, warm blufunk. With his guitar slung over his shoulder, percussive playing and a tight groove, the author of Blufunk Is a Fact! blends funk, soul and rock flashes in a spare songwriting style, carried by a flexible vocal delivery and thumb‑struck riffs. Born in Nigeria and seasoned on the streets of London, he has crafted a recognizable sound, between nervy syncopations and clear, limpid melodies. On stage he alternates signature numbers with newer material, slips in jazzy touches inherited from Liquid Sunshine, revisits Black Orpheus and unfolds the atmospheres of Nigerian Wood. His acoustic guitar provides both the rhythmic line and the harmonic backbone, with that distinctive slap that snaps and drives things forward. A tight, intimate set that foregrounds the pulse of Lagos as much as London’s urbanity, with no unnecessary frills: voice, wood, strings, and the groove at the center.
