Morat

Morat arrives in Barcelona on October 16, 2026, at the Palau Sant Jordi. Formed in Bogotá, the quartet brings together Juan Pablo Isaza, Simón Vargas, Juan Pablo Villamil and, since 2016 after Alejandro Posada’s departure, Martín Vargas, around an acoustic format where strings and vocal harmonies prevail. Their field is Latin pop and folk-pop: songs with classic structures, clear melodies and simple arrangements in which guitars, bass and banjo underpin romantic, narrative lyrics.

The decisive breakthrough came in the mid-2010s with “Mi nuevo vicio” alongside Paulina Rubio, which opened the doors to Spain and Latin America for the group. Since then, Morat has followed up with tours and collaborations with names such as Álvaro Soler, Aitana and Sebastián Yatra, while consolidating their repertoire with albums like Sobre el amor y sus efectos secundarios, Balas perdidas, A dónde vamos? and Si ayer fuera hoy. Live, they alternate ballads and more rhythmic numbers designed for the stage, featuring singalong choruses and an accessible aesthetic close to pop radio and large venues.
