On November 4, 2026 at La Bulle Café in Lille, Nous Étions Une Armée ratcheted up the tension. The duo moves forward with a voice that speaks, shouts and jostles, backed by taut guitars, raw synths and electronic drum machines. Between post‑rock and post‑punk, their songs play in chiaroscuro: a spoken‑sung melancholy that is cleaved by brighter surges. On stage, the sound accumulates and the pulse insists, building to an almost sacrificial climax when words collide with riffs and fill the entire space.

After a debut album, Mais le ciel est sublime, released in October 2025, the project has been honing its shape and breath. Having played Le Point Éphémère and La Maroquinerie and opened for Superbus, Benjamin Biolay and Sam Sauvage, they have forged a direct live presence. In Lille they unfold a frontal, physical set designed for closeness, where each line locks into the beat and the guitars leave traces at the heart. An immersion in a vocal language that seeks the balance between collapse and jolting revival, direct and relentless.
