Ezhel

Ezhel lands at Poolen in Copenhagen on November 5, 2026 with a sound built at the crossroads of rap, trap and dancehall. Born in Ankara in 1990, Sercan İpekçioğlu came up through local hip-hop and reggae before shaping a hybrid style where melodic choruses, rapid-fire verses and a darker, bass-driven atmosphere meet. He often threads in echoes of Anatolian and arabesk music, giving his tracks a grain that sits between street narrative and intimate confessions.

His 2017 album Müptezhel put his name on the contemporary Turkish rap map. Splitting his time between Turkey and Berlin, he deepened ties with the German scene, especially alongside Ufo361 on Lights Out in 2019 and the LOLO project in 2023. Made in Turkey (2020) pushed further into melodic trap textures, while a steady run of singles and features with artists like Murda and Summer Cem kept his voice in rotation on both sides of the Bosphorus.

On stage, expect a set that moves from brooding, low-end beats to catchy refrains, switching between sung hooks and clipped flows. Themes of urban daily life and conflicted relationships run through the setlist, carried by a delivery that shifts gears without losing momentum.
