Info

On October 11, 2026 at Det Kongelige Teater in Copenhagen, Danish singer, musician and composer Anne Linnet revisits a catalogue where pop and rock meet sharp songwriting. Emerging in the 1970s with the all‑female band Shit & Chanel, she marked her solo path early with Kvindesind (1978), a cycle drawn from Tove Ditlevsen’s poems that set the tone for her dialogue with literature. The 1980s widened the palette: Anne Linnet Band with Sanne Salomonsen and Lis Sørensen, and the darker, synth‑leaning Marquis de Sade. Records like Anne Linnet (1981) and Barndommens gade (1986) anchored a voice that keeps melody and text up front, from radio‑ready pop to film songs.

On stage, Linnet tacks between intimate confession and social questions, singing of love, identity and the frictions of everyday life. Expect a set that moves from supple folk‑pop to new wave contours, shifting between band drive and more stripped arrangements, always with the lyrics in clear focus. In her hometown’s Royal Theatre, she gathers classics and recent pieces into a concert that treats pop as storytelling, carried by direct hooks, uncluttered arrangements and a calm, resonant presence.
