Dua Saleh

Dua Saleh brings their hybrid of rap, alt-R&B and experimental pop to Biltmore Cabaret in Vancouver on October 2, 2026. Born in Sudan, raised in the US and rooted in Minneapolis, they move with a poet’s instinct: verses slide between spoken word and melody, bass lines hum under tight, electronic rhythms, and hooks surface then fade. Nūr (2019) sketched the moody, melodic frame; Rosetta (2020) and Crossover (2021) pushed the electronics further, tightening the dialogue between chant and flow. On stage, Saleh plays with contrasts — intimate murmurs, sudden low-end swells, beats that flirt with club tempos while keeping the room close. Themes of identity, gender, diaspora and spirituality thread through the set, carried with a calm intensity and a taste for detail. Shaped alongside Minneapolis collaborators, their sound stays lean and tactile, where each texture earns its place. A night built on presence, phrasing and the grain of a voice that shifts without warning.
