Two Door Cinema Club bring the Tourist History 15th Anniversary Tour to MTELUS in Montreal on October 2, 2026. Formed between Bangor and Donaghadee in 2007, Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday and Kevin Baird shaped a lean indie rock with a pop pulse, quick rhythms and a taste for electronics. Tourist History (2010) set the tone with melodic guitars and straight-ahead hooks; this anniversary run looks back at that debut while folding in the synth-forward turns of Beacon, Gameshow and False Alarm, up to Keep On Smiling. Expect crisp arrangements, elastic basslines and vocals that carry the melodies without fuss, a set built for movement with room for quieter breaths.
Joining the night, Portland’s STRFKR grew from Joshua Hodges’ bedroom project into a full band with Shawn Glassford and Keil Corcoran. Their indie pop leans on driving bass, bright keyboards and airy voices, drawing lines between synth-pop, psychedelia and softer atmospheres. From the early self-titled record through Reptilians, Miracle Mile, Being No One, Going Nowhere and Future Past Life, the group writes compact songs that open up on stage, with visuals and a collective energy that steer the show somewhere between dance party and introspective drift.
