Trijntje & JOC: Celebrating Stevie Wonder

Trijntje Oosterhuis returns for one evening of soul to the songs of Stevie Wonder. Together with JOC she casts that repertoire in a new light: tight grooves, warm brass and plenty of breathing space for the voice. Expect iconic hits alongside less frequently performed tracks, reworked with respect for the original and the expressive freedom of a live band. Trijntje carries the melodies with supple phrasing and timing, while JOC builds a solid jazz foundation around them. On 18 September 2026 at Caprera in Bloemendaal.

Known from Total Touch and later as a solo singer working between pop, soul and jazz, Oosterhuis has a soft spot for large songbooks. Her projects centered on Burt Bacharach and her work with orchestras show how at home she feels in richly orchestrated settings. That suits Stevie’s blend of funk, soul, pop and jazz. This set is about the song and the interplay: a driving rhythm section, answering brass, and a vocalist who brings out colour and narrative.
