Doctor Krápula

Doctor Krápula will perform on 28 March 2026 at Patronaat in Haarlem. The Colombian band, formed in Bogotá in the late 1990s around singer Mario Muñoz, forges ska, punk rock and reggae together with popular rhythms from Latin America, layered with cumbia and hip‑hop influences. Their Spanish lyrics address social and political issues, with a clear focus on the environment. On stage it comes across as immediate and celebratory: five musicians shifting between driving grooves and rougher eruptions, while keeping the message in view. From Bogotá’s alternative scenes, Doctor Krápula expanded into the Spanish‑language rock circuits in Colombia, Mexico and Central America, and also to Europe, with appearances at festivals such as Rock al Parque. The band often collaborates with like‑minded Latin American acts and remains engaged in cultural initiatives around the environment and human rights. In Haarlem they present a set that sharply showcases their mix: spirited, danceable and with choruses that stick.
