Scouting For Girls

On 1 October 2026 Scouting For Girls will perform at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. The London trio—Roy Stride (vocals, piano, guitar), Greg Churchouse (bass) and Peter Ellard (drums)—have been crafting piano-driven pop rock since 2005, marked by direct hooks and lyrics about everyday relationships and childhood memories. Their name is a nod to the scout handbook Scouting for Boys, and their rise began in the mid-2000s through small venues and a strong online presence.

After signing with Epic, their self-titled debut arrived in 2007 with radio singles, followed by Everybody Wants to Be on TV (2010) and The Light Between Us (2012), which further defined their melodic, accessible direction. Still Thinking About You (2015) and The Trouble With Boys (2019) continued that course, while Easy Cover (2021) showcased their affection for ’80s and ’90s pop classics. Live, their shows emphasize energy, the piano as the heartbeat, and choruses that quickly lodge in the ear, with room for material both old and new.
