Lagwagon

Lagwagon will play on 11 August 2026 at Dynamo, Eindhoven. The band from Goleta, near Santa Barbara, has been carving out its own corner of Californian punk rock since the late 1980s, centered on singer Joey Cape and guitarist Chris Flippin. As a lasting presence on Fat Wreck Chords, Lagwagon helped set the tone for melodic skate punk: a fast tempo, tight, precisely played guitars and vocal lines that scrape and swing between clear and raw.

Their early run Duh (1992), Trashed (1994) and Hoss (1995) firmly put them on the map, followed by Double Plaidinum (1997) and Let’s Talk About Feelings (1998), on which the lyrics became more personal and introspective. After a quieter phase the band regained momentum with Blaze (2003) and Resolve (2005), and later with Hang (2014) and Railer (2019), records on which their mix of melodic punk, hardcore influences and pop sensibility remains compact and direct.

Live, Lagwagon is about speed without losing melody. Expect a set that places classics alongside more recent material, with the angular precision and choruses that propel their songs. In Dynamo that Californian stamp is unmistakable, played by a band that for decades has known how to keep energy and melody together.
