Svaneborg Kardyb

On 21 April 2026 the Danish duo Svaneborg Kardyb will perform at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Keyboardist Nikolaj Svaneborg and drummer/percussionist Jonas Kardyb build their music around small melodic hooks, generous breathing space and a dialogue between piano, synths and gently propulsive rhythms. Their sound occupies the meeting point between contemporary jazz, Scandinavian folk and ambient, with subtle electronics that add texture rather than dominate. Since Knob (2019) and Haven (2020) they have been refining that idiom: repetitive patterns that shift slowly, nuance over virtuosity, tension born from silence. With Tage (2022), released on the British label Gondwana Records, they opened the doors to a broader European audience without losing the intimacy of their playing.

Live the duo keeps things small and focused: compact compositions, subdued grooves and a concentration on texture. The set unfolds patiently, leaving room for detail, timbre and the moment, guided by the precise interplay between keys and percussion.
