On June 17, 2026, underscores brings the Galleria – North American Chapter to Le Studio TD in Montréal. The San Francisco songwriter-producer April Harper Grey has built underscores as a shape-shifting pop project that threads glitchy electronics, guitar bite and diaristic hooks. Starting from bedroom dubstep influenced by Skrillex, she now moves freely between hyperpop, pop-punk, emo and indie pop, with a taste for narrative worlds and a hands-on approach that runs from the web to the stage.

Across early EPs and the breakout album Fishmonger (2021), then the Boneyard AKA Fearmonger EP, underscores sharpened a mix of abrasive textures and taut melodies. Wallsocket (2023, Mom + Pop) pushed further into a Midwest fiction, later expanded as Wallsocket (Director’s Cut) in 2024 with the single My Guy (Corporate Shuffle). Also active with the electronic collective Six Impala and the bedroom-pop outfit Papaya & Friends, she keeps blurring scenes and genres, sometimes under the alias Milkfish.
