Info
On 10 July 2026 at LeBreton Flats in Ottawa, Ottawa Bluesfest brings a cross-genre bill where rap-rock, West Coast hip-hop, Americana and live-looped electronics share the same stage.
Limp Bizkit channel the punch of late-90s nu metal: Fred Durst’s clipped flow over Wes Borland’s jagged riffs, DJ Lethal’s cuts and a rhythm section built for bounce. Expect stop-start grooves, big refrains and plenty of call-and-response.
Cypress Hill ride DJ Muggs’ slow-rolling beats with B-Real’s high, nasal tone and Sen Dog’s gravel accents, a smoked-out blend of psych samples and low-end pressure. Live, Eric Bobo’s percussion thickens the pulse and flips cornerstone tracks into head-nod marches.
Steve Earle shifts the mood toward story-driven roots rock. With guitar, harmonica and a road-tight band, he threads country, folk and a touch of bluegrass, letting the lyrics carry while the grooves stay lean.
Marc Rebillet pushes everything into the present tense with on-the-spot creation: vocals, keys and drum machines stacked live into funk, house and R&B sketches that swell and mutate. He plays off the crowd, building from a riff or a throwaway phrase into a jam that only exists tonight.
