On April 29, 2026, at La Station – Gare des Mines in Paris, Science Man makes his debut in the capital. Under this moniker, John Toohill, a figure of Buffalo’s DIY punk scene, delivers no-nonsense, nervy, straight-ahead hardcore. He comes to support his third album, NINES MECCA, and lays out his unadorned approach here: immediate energy, a DIY ethos, and concise songs built for the live setting.
Sick Thoughts is the project of Drew Owen, a multi-instrumentalist who began as a teenager in Baltimore. From the earliest releases he stood out for raw intensity and a prolific output, blending the drive of garage punk with nods to the KBD era. Now based in New Orleans, he plays, records, and mixes everything himself, evolving Sick Thoughts without abandoning the urgency of its beginnings. In concert he delivers short, direct songs with a lo-fi sound that preserves the chaos and tension of his recordings.
