The Wave Pictures

More than twenty years after forming in Wymeswold, Leicestershire, The Wave Pictures bring their wiry, melody-forward guitar music to Berlin. On 12 April 2026 at Neue Zukunft, the long-running trio of Dave Tattersall (guitar, vocals), Franic Rozycki (bass) and Jonny Helm (drums) dig into a songbook shaped by classic rock, jazz and blues. Tattersall’s solos thread bright lines through compact arrangements, while the rhythm section keeps it taut and conversational.

Across 11 albums, they have built a catalogue that moves from quick garage shuffles to slow-burn ballads, with plainspoken lyrics and room for onstage detours. Their collaborations have nudged the sound in different directions, from the ongoing work with Stanley Brinks to the rough-edged punch of the 2015 set Great Big Flamingo Burning Moon with Billy Childish. Tested on festival stages like Primavera Sound, Green Man and End of the Road, the trio’s live chemistry stays close to the bone: dry storytelling, sharp turns, and guitar lines that keep circling back with new angles.
