Foy Vance - The Wake World Tour

Foy Vance brings his The Wake World Tour to the Technikum in Munich on 4 September 2026. The songwriter from Bangor, Northern Ireland, has moved since the early 2000s between British folk and influences of soul and gospel from the American South. With direct guitar playing and a distinctive voice, he first made a name for himself on the acoustic scene before his debut Hope was released in 2007. On Joy of Nothing (2013) he further expanded his sonic palette, and in 2016 The Wild Swan followed on Ed Sheeran's label Gingerbread Man Records. In parallel, Vance writes for other artists and has frequently appeared as a support act on major tours, sharpening his presence on stages across the UK, Europe and North America. In 2019 From Muscle Shoals and To Memphis were released, marked by Americana and Southern soul; in 2021 Signs of Life followed, balancing balladic introspection with roots and pop melodies. Live, Vance brings these facets together, spanning the arc from early songs to his most recent material.
