Arkells - Between Us

Arkells step into the Between Us era with a close-quarters show built for real connection. Formed in Hamilton in the mid-2000s, the band has shaped a catalogue that moves between indie rock pulse, pop immediacy and touches of soul, carried by Max Kerman’s voice and a tight-knit quintet. From the raw drive of Jackson Square to the keyboard-forward Michigan Left and High Noon, then the brass-coloured Rally Cry and the acoustic sketches of Campfire Chords, their songs follow everyday stories and big choruses. More recently, Blink Once and Blink Twice widened the circle with collaborations, while Laundry Pile brought the focus back to songwriting.

On February 28, 2026 at twotwotwo in Oshawa, the set takes an intimate route: guitars up close, harmonies within reach, arrangements built for direct connection. Between Us leans on proximity, revisiting early favourites and newer cuts with the same clear, melodic drive. The writing moves to the front, the groove sits in the room, and the band’s catalogue shows its range at eye level.
