Info
Wheatus brings the Spring 2026 tour to Bo’s Bar & Stage in Red Deer on April 9, 2026. Formed in the New York suburbs in the mid‑90s and led by singer‑guitarist Brendan B. Brown, the band blends alternative rock with pop and power‑pop instincts: melodic guitars, tight rhythms and a dry sense of storytelling. The breakout arrived in 2000 with Teenage Dirtbag, followed by their take on Erasure’s A Little Respect. Since then, Wheatus has pushed on from the punch of Hand Over Your Loved Ones to the more acoustic shades of The Valentine LP, keeping a clear taste for lean, memorable hooks.
On stage, the lineup shifts from full band to more stripped setups, opening space to rework older tracks alongside newer material. The lyrics draw on school‑hall memories, pop‑culture nods and everyday scenes, turning small details into choruses that stick. The set links their early‑2000s staples with the rest of a catalogue shaped by crisp melodies and nimble guitars, somewhere between indie rock and pop alternative without losing that signature wink.
The Rusty Halligans open the night.
