Dwayne Gretzky

On May 9, 2026 at the Théâtre Fairmount in Montreal, Dwayne Gretzky returns with his rock and pop collective for a set of covers tailored for the stage. Born in Toronto, the group brings together a large core of musicians around a repertoire that spans several decades of popular music, from the 1960s to the present. On stage, everything is played as a team: collective arrangements, layered vocal harmonies, guitars, keyboards and a rhythm section that carry fluid transitions and a confident group dynamic.

The project began in the early 2010s in local venues, before expanding to tours and festivals across Canada. Over the course of concerts, Dwayne Gretzky has refined a set that blends rock standards, pop hits and less-expected selections, with particular attention to multi-part singing and ensemble interplay. In 2019, the collective released a self-titled debut studio album that put on record a selection of songs road-tested on stage.

At the Théâtre Fairmount, that spirit of comradeship is on display: covers rearranged for the stage, voices answering one another and collective energy brought to the fore, resulting in a concert that revives songs that have stood the test of time.
