Bearings, Rarity, Second Harbour

On March 7, 2026 at SAW in Ottawa, Bearings leads a night that stretches from melodic pop punk to post-hardcore with guests Rarity and Second Harbour.

Formed in Ottawa, Bearings has honed a sound between melodic pop punk, modern emo and alternative rock. Signed to Pure Noise Records, the band writes about the friction of growing up, relationships and the rhythm of life on the road. After early EPs, they set their blueprint with Blue in the Dark in 2018, followed by Hello, It’s You in 2020, which opened the door to more indie rock colors. The Best Part About Being Human, released in 2023, pushes a direct, fast-paced approach with clear guitars, big choruses and layered vocal harmonies, looking for a balance between immediacy and detail.

Rarity, from Toronto, brings a post-hardcore slant built on hard-edged riffs and dynamic breaks, keeping a melodic thread at the core. Their set tilts the evening toward a heavier register without losing momentum or clarity.

From Montreal, Second Harbour anchors the bill’s other post-hardcore side with tense guitars and urgent rhythms, setting the stage with tight arrangements and a focused drive.
