Laura Lee & the Jettes

On 9 March 2026 at Club Stereo in Nuremberg, Laura Lee & the Jettes will bring their Berlin-rooted guitar set to the stage. Centered around bassist and vocalist Laura Lee — formerly of Gurr — the band combines garage rock, indie and a dash of power pop. Concise song structures, melodic choruses and English-language vocals that alternate between clean lines and rougher edges drive the set forward. The lyrics address everyday themes like relationships, social fatigue and the pressures of city life directly, without an overarching concept—more in the moment.

Since the early 2020s the band has been sharpening this mix of distorted guitars, direct rhythms and simple, assured arrangements. With Wasteland (2022) the quartet consolidated its approach; many tracks were developed and further worked on stage. The result is a tension between garage heritage, a taut post-punk attitude and accessible pop songwriting that unfolds live. In Nuremberg the group will show how they bring together raw energy and catchy motifs—focused, unadorned and to the point.
