Versengold

On 28 March 2026, Versengold will perform at the Sparkassen-Arena Aurich. Founded in Bremen in 2003, the collective has developed from an acoustic medieval sound into contemporary German-language folk rock. Violin, acoustic guitars, traditional instruments and driving percussion carry narrative songs that swing between quiet ballads and upbeat numbers. At the center are the lyrics: legends from the North, the sea and the coasts, scenes from everyday life and issues of our time, told in a direct tone. This blend has been honed across festival stages and club tours and condensed into a distinctive live dynamism.

With albums like Zeitlos (2015), Funkenflug (2017), Nordlicht (2019) and Was kost die Welt (2022), Versengold has further opened up their sound and made it more personal, without losing its historical hues. On stage, the musicians’ collective interplay meets catchy melodic arcs and dense choruses, leaving space for subtlety as well as for movement in front of the stage. In Aurich the band will combine their storytelling bent with energetic folk rock — up close, precisely played, and driven by the songs’ texts.
