Alte Bekannte

On 27 November 2026 Alte Bekannte will perform at the Martinikirche Buer in Melle. The Cologne a cappella quintet, formed by former members of the Wise Guys, relies entirely on the voice: five male voices shape dense harmonies, clear melodic lines and a supporting vocal percussion; solos and ensemble passages interlock seamlessly. The German-language songs — often written by Daniel “Dän” Dickopf — revolve around everyday life, relationships and social observations, told in a tone that ranges from ironic to contemplative. Musically the band moves between pop, chanson and songwriting, always without instruments, with precise, compact arrangements. Live, tempo meets ballad and lightness meets quiet moments; the repertoire includes tracks from their albums “Wir sind da!”, “Das Leben ist schön” and “Bunte Socken”, augmented by new twists in the arrangements. The set combines narrative lyrics and rhythmic drive — solely with the voice.
