Nena - 2026

On 23 August 2026 Nena will play an open-air concert on the Seebühne Bremen. The singer began in the early 1980s with the band Nena as part of the Neue Deutsche Welle and became known far beyond Germany with "99 Luftballons." Since the end of that decade she has been active as a solo artist, while remaining true to her mix of pop, rock and electronic elements. With the project Nena feat. Nena she re-recorded key songs from her repertoire in 2002, thereby building a bridge between then and now.

Live, Nena performs with a band and relies on catchy choruses, clear hooks and plenty of joie de vivre. The set usually spans from early NDW numbers to later pop-rock pieces. Songs such as "99 Luftballons," "Leuchtturm" or "Irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann" often become the moments everyone can sing along to, while newer tracks show the current facets of her sound. This open-air concert bundles the stages of a career that remains especially alive on stage—right on the water at the Seebühne Bremen—and is aimed at an audience that either grew up with Nena’s songs or is just discovering them.
