Counting Crows - The Complete Sweets Tour

Counting Crows are bringing their The Complete Sweets Tour to the Stadtpark Open Air in Hamburg on July 14, 2026. Since the early 1990s the band led by singer‑songwriter Adam Duritz has been known for a blend of alternative rock, folk rock and Americana: melodic guitars, a prominent piano and lyrics that tell stories and turn inward. With their debut August and Everything After (1993) and the single “Mr. Jones” they reached a wide audience; albums such as Recovering the Satellites, This Desert Life and Hard Candy continued in that vein, before “Accidentally in Love” in 2004 also positioned the band in a film context. Later followed Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings and Somewhere Under Wonderland.

On stage, Counting Crows leave room for improvisation and variation: songs change in form and length, and dynamics shift between quiet ballads and electric passages. At the center is Duritz’s voice, carried by organic arrangements in which piano, guitars and the rhythm section are closely interwoven. In Hamburg early pieces meet later songs — a set that maps the breadth of their songwriting without losing their distinctive touch.
