Santiano

Santiano bring their maritime folk blend to Hamburg. On 22 March 2026 they will be on stage at the Barclaycard Arena, Hellgrundweg 44, 22525 Hamburg. The quintet from Flensburg combines experience in rock, folk and pop and has been dedicated since 2011 to songs of seafaring and tales of the sea. Their repertoire mixes traditional shanties with influences from Irish folk, hints of schlager and rock-inflected arrangements. The lyrics are predominantly in German and revolve around navigation, journeys and coastal stories.

Live, Santiano rely on multi-part, choral singing, catchy refrains and an acoustically amplified band sound. Between driving numbers and quiet ballads, original songs and adapted traditionals alternate, carried by a compact groove and clear melodic lines. The focus is on collective singing and the interplay of the five musicians, which brings the maritime themes to life without frills.

In Hamburg you can expect a set that moves between Nordic folk and seafaring song, densely and directly arranged, featuring the typical Santiano sound that fills large arenas and revives the choir-like feel.
