Prinz Pi is coming to Oberhausen: On October 13, 2026, at the Turbinenhalle, the Berlin rapper will present a show that sits between storytelling rap and crisp hooks. Having started in the late ’90s as Prinz Porno in the battle-rap scene, he soon shifted his focus to narrative, reflective lyrics—marked by a social perspective, pop-culture references and vignettes from everyday life in Berlin. Since Neopunk he has worked on productions that straddle alternative hip-hop and pop-rap, at times edgy, at times melodic.

Live, he blends early underground tracks with defining chapters such as Rebell ohne Grund, Kompass ohne Norden, pp=mc² and Im Westen nix Neues, along with selected pieces from Nichts war umsonst and occasional returns to his Porno alias. Typical are precise imagery, clean enunciation and tempo changes in his flow; the beats leave room for dynamics rather than flashy gimmicks. The concert compresses more than two decades of sound and storytelling and presents the current state of his work—direct, focused, without frills.
