Astral Bakers

Astral Bakers are four musicians who play together as if they were a single instrument. Their sound is English-language soft grunge, at the crossroads of Big Thief’s intimacy, Supertramp’s clear melodies, and a Nirvana-like unplugged feel. Ambroise, Theodora, Nico and Zoé prioritize the collective: voices intertwine, roles are exchanged, and the songs move forward driven by a shared group dynamic.

Their debut album, The Whole Story, released in 2024, was selected for Spotify’s RADAR program and noticed by the press. For Vertical Life, recorded in the United States with Sam Evian and slated for late 2025, the quartet refines this choral approach: spare arrangements, gently textured guitars, prominent harmonies, and restrained rhythmic lines that leave space for the vocals.

Astral Bakers will be at Le Trabendo in Paris on 19 May 2026 to present Vertical Life and revisit tracks from The Whole Story, in a format that highlights collective listening and the circulation of voices.
