Minneapolis MC Prof built his name in the independent Midwest circuit with a mix of sharp storytelling, party cuts and introspective turns. From Project Gampo and King Gampo to Liability, Pookie Baby, Powderhorn Suites and Horse, he moves between rapid-fire verses and sung hooks, flipping boom bap, trap and pop influences with a taste for tight song structures.
Born Michael Wayne Atha in Alabama, Yelawolf pushes a Southern lane where rap crosses paths with country and rock. Trunk Muzik set the tone, followed by Radioactive, Love Story and Trial by Fire, then a return to grit with Trunk Muzik 3. In recent years he’s steered his own course with Ghetto Cowboy, Mud Mouth and the rock-leaning Sometimes Y, pairing fast flows with autobiographical sketches.
From Bay City, Texas, That Mexican OT blends heavy trap and Houston nods with Spanglish and borderland imagery. After the South Texas Project in 2020 and the solo set South Texas Mexican in 2022, he broke wider with Johnny Dang alongside Paul Wall and Drodi, then Lonestar Luchador, grounding catchy hooks in day-to-day Texas scenes.
