Les Bodin's « Grandeur nature »

Les Bodin’s are back on the road with Grandeur Nature, their rural comedy led by Maria, a straight-talking matriarch, and her son Christian, who stayed on the farm. Born in the central countryside, Vincent Dubois and Jean-Christian Fraiscinet have forged since the 1990s a duo that examines family and generational tensions, the gap between agricultural life and the modern world, all delivered in rapid-fire dialogue and situations that bite into reality. On tour, their universe is recreated indoors with a reconstructed farmhouse set: little quirks, village schemes and a common sense that creaks.

After the anniversary tour, Les Bodin’s are extending the adventure into 2027. They will be at the Zénith de Caen on 28 March 2027 for a Grandeur Nature performance that puts Maria and Christian up against their habits and what unsettles them. Popular theatre, a sharp accent and an unadorned pace: the Bodin’s signature is there, between situational comedy and a precise observation of rural life, brought to the stage by performers who know their terrain.
