Sebastian Marx returns in work-in-progress mode. A New Yorker based in Paris, he plays on the gap between French and American cultures with observational stand-up that’s direct and precise. Language misunderstandings, petty administrative absurdities, urban life and social codes feed his material, switching between French and English as inspiration dictates. This new show is still finding its feet, and that’s the idea: to test, adjust, try out different directions, involve the audience in the process and refine the material through laughs and silences.

There he unfolds the mix of outsider perspective and self-deprecation that marks his style, bringing the energy of New York stand-up adapted for the local audience.
