Puppetmastaz

On May 20, 2026, Puppetmastaz takes over the Brise Glace in Annecy. Born in Berlin in the late 1990s, this hip-hop collective puts puppets front and center and keeps humans behind the scenes. On stage, the show becomes a pocket theatre where animal characters trade rhymes, distorted voices and character-driven dialogue. The group toys with the childlike and carnivalesque side of rap while cranking up the bass and drawing on contemporary currents: boom bap, electro-rap, touches of trap and a nod to ragga.

Their signature is a blend of tracks with a massive groove and fast-paced skits, between improbable superheroes and bouts of magical-ravioli madness. Flows respond to each other, puppet choirs settle in, and the set alternates bangers, sketches and interactions with the crowd. It evokes a warped TV show, a faceless rap crew, a compact sonic fable that doesn’t forget the effectiveness of solid beats.
