Scott H. Biram

Preacher, punk and bluesman all at once, Scott H. Biram plays solo like an entire band. On February 16, 2026, he took over the Supersonic for a stripped-down set: a battered guitar, pedals, loose cables and a raspy voice that hits. Born in Texas and based in Austin, he mixes hillbilly gospel, raw blues, urgent bluegrass and roadhouse rock, with a firmly rooted punk spirit. One minute it’s an old gospel melody; the next, a fuzz-soaked boogie. Hard to pigeonhole, but recognizable from the first riff. On stage he was forged in hard school: tight shows, sweat and near-sermons. His one-man band shifts from storm to whisper without warning, between sacred and profane, rough and spare. Beneath the weathering you can hear the songwriting and respect for tradition that drive the impulse. Biram has a way of making the room sound as if the band had left the road and he kept going alone, pedal to the metal. Country, blues, rock or electric gospel: when he plugs in his guitar, it’s American roots that vibrate, unfiltered.
