Westerman

London singer and songwriter Westerman brings his finely drawn pop to Toronto on March 25, 2026 at The Great Hall, 1087 Queen Street West. With a gentle voice and a taste for understated detail, he moves between airy indie‑folk and subtle electronic textures, writing songs that feel intimate yet quietly expansive.

After a second album co‑produced with James Krivchenia of Big Thief, he continues his path with A Jackal’s Wedding, made alongside producer Marta Salogni (Björk, Depeche Mode, Sharon Van Etten). Conceived in a 17th‑century house on the Greek island of Hydra, the record embraces mirage‑like layers, slight rhythmic shifts and melodies that play with light and shade. On stage, Westerman pares the arrangements back to let the songs breathe, stretching and reshaping them without losing their core. The set moves from hushed, fingerpicked sketches to shimmering electronic currents, all anchored by his calm, clear voice.
