shame bring their lean, wired sound to Vancouver, built on jagged guitars, a restless rhythm section and vocals that cut through the mix. Formed in 2014 in South London, the band channels a raw post-punk streak into songs that move from clipped chants to loose, spiralling releases. Charlie Steen’s delivery sits half-spoken, half-sung, with lyrics that turn over pressure, friendship and the daily grind. Across their releases they’ve widened the palette—darker tones here, brighter hooks there, bass hitting harder—without losing the sharp edges that define them on stage and on record.
