Info

Swedish singer, composer and organist Anna von Hausswolff brings her Iconoclasts Tour to The Great Hall in Toronto on March 22, 2026. Emerging from the Göteborg indie scene, she has built a body of work where songwriting meets experimentation and writing for organ. Her music leans on long textures close to drone, an expressive voice and a taste for atmospheres that brush against liturgical moods, slow-burn rock and dark ambient.

From the intimate folk shades of Singing from the Grave (2010) to the organ-forward Ceremony (2012), she gradually widened her scope. The Miraculous (2015) and Dead Magic (2018) stretch into longer, repetitive forms often linked to post-rock and the slower edges of heavy music, with occasional collaborations across metal and experimental circles. All Thoughts Fly (2020), composed entirely for organ, pushes a minimalist, drone-driven approach with stripped melodic motifs. On stage, solo or with a band, she navigates between song and instrumental passages, letting pipe-organ harmonics and sustained resonance shape the set.
