On April 19, 2026, The Starlite Room in Edmonton hosts Australian singer-songwriter Kim Churchill. Raised on the New South Wales south coast, he forged his sound on the road and in street sets, building lean, percussive folk with an acoustic guitar, harmonica and foot‑driven rhythms played at once. His repertoire moves from stripped back ballads to tracks with a more alternative rock edge, with discreet blues shades and a melodic pop streak. Since the early 2010s he has released Detail of Distance, Silence/Win and Weight Falls, then a run of EPs including I Am, sketching an itinerant writing style that fits his constant touring. On stage he centers the voice and the pulse, layering riffs, harmonica lines and kick/snare patterns into compact, dynamic songs. The set leans into travel stories and open‑road moods, mixing new pieces and older cuts, shaped with the agility of a one‑person band. Kim Churchill will be joined by guests.
