Sylvain Cossette

Sylvain Cossette brings his pop-rock songbook to Théâtre Manuvie on February 7, 2026, at 6000 Boulevard de Rome in Brossard, Canada. Born in Grand-Mère in 1963, the Quebec singer and songwriter first made his mark at the end of the 1980s after a stint with the anglophone band Paradox. His solo path took shape in the mid-1990s with Comme l’océan and Prendre le temps, followed by Humain and Rendez-vous, building a repertoire where pop, melodic rock and ballads share space, with a clear focus on voice and lyrics.

From the mid-2000s, Cossette also turned to the great pop catalogue with Grandes chansons, then a 70s trilogy that revisits Anglo-American hits from that decade in a contemporary pop-rock frame. On stage, he moves between his own material and reworked standards from the 70s, alternating intimate tempos and more electric moments. The evening traces a line between Quebec chanson and North American pop culture, carried by songs that put words and melody upfront.
