Info
Marlon Magnée, co‑founder of French band La Femme, steps out solo. After more than a decade shaping the group’s direction with records like Psycho Tropical Berlin (2013) and Mystère (2016), he opened a new chapter in 2025. His solo work draws a line between sixties rock, synthpop and a touch of psychobilly. Based in Paris, he writes, records and co‑produces his tracks, keeps a close eye on visuals and clips, and brings that DIY clarity to the stage.
He will be in Toronto on September 14, 2026 at The Great Hall, 1087 Queen Street West. On stage, Magnée leans into new material and reworked influences, balancing guitar bite and analogue synth lines. The live set extends the exploratory spirit honed within La Femme, now filtered through a more personal framework, somewhere between dark pop contours, motorik impulses and quick, melodic hooks.
