Julien Santini

Julien Santini returns with the second season of his show. On stage, the French comedian toggles between stand-up and offbeat humour, alternating everyday observations with autobiographical detours. He advances in small ruptures: a step toward poetry, another toward the absurd, a wink of self-mockery, then he veers off without warning. His performance blends restraint and abandon, with a sense of physicality and repartee that establishes an immediate rapport with the audience.

Santini likes to reveal what’s behind the curtain: the hesitations, the half-assumed characters, the cobbled-together memories. From this he fashions a free, embodied comedy where surprise matters more than effect, and where many things become possible for the duration of a set. This second season extends his world by widening the field of experimentation, while retaining the simple, direct energy that defines him.
