Toc Toc de Laurent Baffie

Written by Laurent Baffie, Toc Toc brings together six patients suffering from obsessive–compulsive disorders in the waiting room of Dr. Stern, a renowned neuropsychiatrist. Palilalia, nosophobia, Tourette’s syndrome, an inability to step on the lines: each arrives with their own quirks, coping strategies and blind spots. The wait lengthens, the consultation doesn’t arrive, and conversation takes over. To hold up, they size each other up, confide in one another, tease one another and play along. Beneath the tics and obsessions, the play reveals raw, unvarnished personalities and a tempo driven by rapid-fire verbal exchanges.

Directed by Pascal Maillard, the production brings together Mathieu Gaudin, Marie Elie, Sophie Morin, Nelly Pichotbadeaud, Kamal Rawas and Olivier Collin — an ensemble that channels the group’s energy and the offbeat nature of the situations. Laurent Baffie’s Toc Toc will be at Théâtre Beaulieu in Nantes on June 27, 2026.
